Booking.com approached us to create a series of ‘Internal Explainer Films’ to help staff with the integration of new internal systems. These films must concisely and seamlessly convey information to the viewer while remaining entertaining, fun, and most importantly, easy to watch.
Developing an entertaining video to demonstrate how to use a new system can be a challenge, especially for viewers who are unfamiliar with it. We wanted to ensure that the video would keep the viewer engaged and that they would watch it until the end in order to learn how to use the system.
The original concept started as a Mission Impossible/James Bond-esque adventure. Working closely with the client, that idea slowly evolved into a new character: someone who uses their spy skills to get to meetings, but discovers that there are much simpler and safer ways to book and organise meetings.
Fun fact: We used the real Booking.com headquarters as inspiration for the location in the animation!
We were able to create an engaging and fun explainer video that met all of the client’s requirements. The story was relatable, easy to understand, and included plenty of entertaining elements found in our favourite spy blockbusters, animated to make it even more enjoyable. The video was rolled out across the world for Booking.com‘s team and was a huge success. We are thrilled to continue to create informative videos that are fun to watch!
