How Do You Trade Commodities?

01. Brief

Create a short animated B2B film to promote TradeCloud’s new on-line platform.

02. Approach

It was vital this film had humour from start to end, especially when dealing with a subject matter like commodities. Tradecloud provided us with a script that we re-edited introducing more of a “story” element. Our concept was driven by the idea of Tradecloud working from a secret “james bond” style bunker somewhere in Switzerland

The concept behind the film meant that every animated element was created by our in-house animators. Once all the characters were designed and backdrops were created we built our story. Sound design was an important factor when bringing this video to life.

03. ROI

This film was, and still is, an integral part of Tradecloud’s b2b communications. This video has proven so successful that Tradecloud used the robot as the face of Tradecloud at live events.

Let Us Explain.

01. Brief

Produce a slate of 10 explainer films that show new clients how to use Tradecloud’s new on-line commodities platform.

02. Approach

TradeCloud is about creating a smooth experience for their users. We knew we had a captive audience so instead of overpowering the visual senses it was all about making sure that everything felt calm and inviting while always conveying vital information. 

03. ROI

These films are still used by TradeCloud today, helping assist their customers with all aspects of using their innovative trading platform. We continue to produce new content and explainers for TradeCloud as their company goes from strength to strength.

The Vision.

01. Brief

TradeCloud’s CEO and COO talk about their company’s aspirations and success.

02. Approach

We’ve had the pleasure of working with TradeCloud on a slate of successful projects, from Promo films to Explainer films and even Virtual Reality films. So when they contacted us for a new film we suggested we go LIVE ACTION.

We felt it was time to pull back the curtain and introduce the people behind TradeCloud. Now, it did take a little arm twisting but our thought process was this particular message would be best received when heard directly from the Matthew and Simon.

TradeCloud is a Swiss based company, but travel frequently, so we managed to get Matthew and Simon for one day in an East London studio before they bounded off to more meetings. We had a great location with fantastic natural lighting. We used two RED RAVENS, one mounted on a motorised track for that subtle but cinematic camera movement.

We needed enough space to frame our interviewees keeping in mind we’d be adding graphics in post-production. It was vital that we had enough space to accommodate kit, crew and interviewees. It was also crucial the location reflected TradeCloud’s ethos as a modern and bold space

03. ROI

Simon and Matthew were extremely happy with these videos. It was great way to express their vision for the company and roll it out to investors and customers.

We produced a total of FOUR separate films ranging from TradeClouds Vision to different aspects of TradeClouds platform.
